What is Chiropractic and how does it work?
Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.
The McTimoney Approach to Chiropractic
The McTimoney approach to chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney over 50 years ago. It is well known for being a precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care. The gentle nature of the McTimoney way makes it suitable for people throughout their lifetime.
What to expect
Your initial consultation and treatment is an assessment of your general health, previous conditions and existing symptoms. A physical examination will be conducted to locate the problem, during which time adjustments will be made using the light, dextrous techniques associated with the McTimoney approach.
