What is EMMETT Technique and how does it work?
The EMMETT Technique is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissue of the body, and the therapist may help relieve tensions resulting in feelings of improved comfort within the body.
The EMMETT Technique
The EMMETT Technique was developed by Australian Ross Emmett and was introduced into the United Kingdom in 2007. This gentle technique is suitable for people of all ages. The motto of the “Chameleon” approach is the assessment and tailoring of treatment according to the specific needs of the individual.
What to expect
Your initial consultation and treatment is an assessment of your general health, previous conditions and existing symptoms. The pressure required to stimulate the “EMMETT” points does not need to be firm or painful. The right amount of pressure is applied in the correct direction for the appropriate amount of time to create the desired physical change for the individual.
